Matthew Patton has dedicated his career to standing with workers and individuals who have been exploited, mistreated, or denied justice by powerful employers and institutions. His commitment was shaped by growing up in a family of nurses, public school teachers, and other hardworking professionals and by learning firsthand the importance of having a strong advocate when employers mistreat their employees.

Throughout his practice, Attorney Patton has represented employees in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings, securing millions of dollars through verdicts, settlements, and negotiated resolutions in cases involving unpaid wages, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other workplace violations.

He has successfully challenged employers who concealed wrongdoing, withheld evidence, or retaliated against workers for asserting their rights, helping employees obtain meaningful relief through strategic and effective advocacy.

Outside the practice of law, Attorney Patton has remains deeply committed to advocacy and public service. He has worked with the Special Olympics to help launch the “Spread the Word to End the Word” campaign, promoting dignity and inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Attorney Patton has also helped lead and operate a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising minimum wages and expanding access to affordable education for working families and underserved communities.
